As I am working more evenings and nights at the moment; I have more time to stitch in the day! Yippie! This is why I have brought up the topic of FlossTube. I have been watching some more channels; than the one I mentioned in my previous post – JustKeepStitchin; a mom/daughter combo. I love these girls, they make me laugh.
Pam & Steph of JustKeepStitchin have mentioned quite a few FlossTubers that watch and of course I am intrigued to know who these people are. One of these lovely people, the girls mentioned was Buckeye Stitcher. Nicole; what a lovely lady! Crazy cat lady, like myself! I am almost up to date with her videos.
I have also subscribed to the following channels:
Ginger Gerald Stitcher
McKenna at Every Stitch Counts
The Twisted Stitcher
There have been many designs from designers that I have never heard of; I am guessing that they are American designers and as I live in the UK, we may not have had these designs over here yet. I am plodding through my local HobbyCraft stores to find some of these designs. There have been websites for me to check out too – like for example 123 Stitch, Just Another Button Company and Lizzie*Kate. I cannot believe that there are so many cute and amazing designs out in the Stitching world! I WANT them all!
Are there any other FlossTubers I should be subscribing to? Or are they are other designers I should keep my eye out for? Let me know!
I have come to the conclusion that I am not that addicted to FlossTube yet, but it only a matter of time until I am!
I will be posting an update on the “Tea & Cakes” SAL from Lakeside Needlecraft soon – keep your eyes peeled!
Until the next row…
Since my last post, I have completed TWO more pieces!
The ‘Story Time Sampler’ and ‘You’re Dino-mite’ are now ready to be framed! I do apologise about the images; they will look so much better when I have the pieces framed. I am so excited about that!
I completed ‘You’re Dino-mite’ in less than SIX DAYS! I started it on Monday 12th June in the afternoon; I was away for a few days with my family and I needed some “me time” and I completed it on Saturday 17th June around lunchtime. This inspired me to finish the ‘Story Time Sampler’ and I finished the last frame in about three hours yesterday afternoon.
While I have been stitching; I have also been watching some FlossTubers – I have been inspired to create my own channel; so keep your eyes peeled for that!
The FlossTubers I have been watching are JustKeepStitchin’ – a mom/daughter combo Pam and Steph. I follow them on Instagram and I have fallen in love with their channel. The patterns the have been showing – I need them in my life! There are so many designers I have never heard of and I love the designs!
Now that I have finished two pieces; I now need a current project. I have started the ‘Tea & Cakes’ Stitch-A-Long from the beautiful Kate of Lakeside Needlecraft – I am a little behind, but I am very determined with my stitching. Keep an eye out for some progress photos on my Instagram account!
Yes, my #30For30Crafting challenge is complete! Tomorrow I will be starting a new challenge.
I have been inspired! #TheStitchingHour2017 hosted by @ambitiousstitches; bring on June 1st! I am already doing an hour at time, let’s make it two! Hee hee! I will be taking my stitching with my on my holiday with my Tribe – I am very excited! There is WiFi where we are staying, so I will be able to keep you all up to date on everything!
I want to complete The Story Time Sampler by The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery as soon as possible; as the girls have created a dinosaur themed piece that will be perfect for my nephew!
I have also started A Very Merry Christmas Town by the girls; I felt that I will do this project for this challenge – I have got the evening off today; so I see stitching in my future!
Until the next row…
Wow! I cannot believe that it is Day 22 of my #30For30Crafting challenge! I felt that it was time that I shared my progress with you:
Day One – Peter Pan
I was surprised how focused I was on this challenge from the start. At first I started a timer so I would stop and have a rest after 30 minutes; but by Day Two that had gone out of the window!
Day Five – Peter Pan
As you can see, even after five days I have almost completed this frame. I am happy with this progress.
Day Ten – Peter Pan is complete; now on to the Lady of Shallot
To be honest, I have never read The Lady of Shallot; so I had to do some research on the story. Let’s just say, that I have added it to my To Be Read (TBR) pile…
Day 20 – The Lady of Shallot
I was attending a vendor event on the 20th of May; sadly it was VERY quiet! I completed this frame that day. I will let you know how I am getting on soon…
Until the next row…
Hey everyone. Just a quick post to let you know that I have signed up for the #30For30Crafting Challenge, created by the wonderful Jess aka CraftingGeek.
For May, I have agreed to stitch for a minimum of 30 minutes 30 days – I will have a free day as May has 31 days
This is the push I need to complete my Story Time Sampler from The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery. For my keen followers on Instagram, you would have all seen my latest progress.
Sprite Stitch has been quiet recently and I have made a list of the challenges I have not completed; you can see the list under the “Sprite Stitch Challenges” page here on the blog.
I know the quicker I finish the Story Time Sampler, the quicker I can crack on with my Stitching For Charity piece for Sprite Stitch.
I will post my updated here and on Instagram – let’s do this!!
I recently downloaded KG Chart LE for Cross Stitch as I needed to work out how to do the Bookmarks I am doing for the Bookcrossing Convention in Oslo – I found that it was very easy to use. I have been thinking about creating my own patterns to sell. Is that a good idea or not? I know I am not going to be as fab as the lovely ladies at The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery; but it would be something I would like to do.
What do you all think? Should I do some patterns? Let me know what you all think…
You can download KG Chart LE for Cross Stitch from here!
Hello everyone; sorry that it has been over two month since my last post here on Dreaming in Aida. I have been trying to get some RAKs (Random Acts of Kindness) completed.
I was supposed to be attending an event is Oslo, Norway at the end of the month. Sadly, I am now unable to attend. I was hoping to make over 100 bookmarks; however I have only done a few. I have forgotten how long Backstitch is when doing it.
As for my Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery SAL; I have had to put it down. I really need to pick it up again, as I had almost finished “March”. I am still staying positive that I will have it completed and framed for Christmas for my niece. I am keeping my fingers crossed; obviously not when I am stitching…
